“As Long As You Can Understand What I’m Saying…”

Do you value the English language? Good! I’m not the only one.

Dear Attention Deficit Disorder,

Please go away so I can actually get some work done.

Drawn on an index card while failing to write a paper and fix my CV.

I also think it might be time to invest in some new pens.

Equal Rights In A Sequential Art World

One of my long time friends (let’s call her M-cubed) has always told me stories about her openly gay cousin Dan. I’ve heard so many tales about the guys that I’m convinced we’ve been good friend since grade school. Dan is an activist, long time comic reader, illustrator, has Jim Lee style tattoos, and apparently is also an online journalist.

Today I received a message from M-cubed telling me about an article Dan had written about the lack of homosexual superheroes in popular comics. I’m not typically a fan online banter (I’m a dirty hypocrite. I’m aware) but this concept instantly intrigued me.

I’d continue to write about Dan’s article but I’d fail to do it any justice. Go read it yourself: Finding Superqueeroes In The Comic Book World

Ever catch a wave on an Egosurf?

While arrogantly searching up my name on google I stumbled across the blog I used for the Post Standard Newspaper in Syracuse, NY. I had a wonderful opportunity to write reviews for the major newspaper in my favorite city all of last year. If you have any interest in seeing me review some pretty terrible moments in modern cinema click right here.

On an even sweeter note: My point and click addiction uncovered an article written about the transition in comics from print to the web. I was interviewed, along with my co-teacher Mike Reiff, about the way in which the internet is changing comics for Generation magazine which is a publication on University At Buffalo’s campus. Though it wasn’t the most rewarding article to read after an hour long interview I’m quite proud that my little Graphic Novels And Film media theory class earned me a published interview.

Until Next Time,

Can I Still Be A Hardcore Kid With My Own Business Card?

I finally sold out! No, I’m still straight edge BUT I now have my own personalized business card. What’s not to love? I have had them less than eight hours and already have an offer to photograph a wedding (a terrifying concept) and design someone’s business card for their business. At this rate I’ll be retired by 28 while living on my own private island.

Stay Tuned! Corporate sponsors are coming soon (I’m looking at you Warner Brothers).

Stay Lovely Fellow Marketable Artists,
